It appears that Steve Bannon is still trying to make hay out
of allegations that Trump’s son met with Russian officials before the election.
In my opinion, it probably would have been irresponsible of the Trump campaign
if nobody on that team had spoken to the Russians. If you are running for the
White House, you need to get well positioned with significant geopolitical players,
and while Russia isn’t as prominent in that way as it used to be, it still is
an important force with a long reach. So I hope someone on the Trump team did an
early job of building Russian relationships. If so, good for the USA.
