Can people tell from what part of Canada you
come just by the words you use? There is an interesting discussion of the
results of a survey at

If you are in Cape Breton, you probably go the corner store, while people in
the Yukon go to a convenience store. People in Quebec go to their dépanneur to
buy soft drink, but in BC people go to the corner store to buy pop. In
Newfoundland, they buy pop from a convenience store and might wear a stocking
cap if the weather is cold (which it is a big part of the year), while in most
of the rest of the country, people are wearing a toque. Many of them might be
wearing a hoodie, but not in Saskatchewan. Those guys are wearing bunnyhugs.
