Divided We Stand; United We Fall

I am being clever with the title, but haven’t figured out how to mold this post to fit it.

My whole family and I have had an aversion to United Airlines for many years. Too many ugly experiences. But in the last few years we did give them another couple of chances.

The first time, we had ordered gluten-free meals for our first class flights. Long flights. Lo and behold, come meal time we were told they didn’t have them.  The stewardess blamed us….said we should have told her when we boarded……like she was going to run out then and get us meals. So I offered that we could take regular meals and work around the problem, but of course they didn’t have enough for us.

The second time, United lost my son’s suitcase containing over $4000 of stuff --- electronics and higher quality clothing.  United refused to make any payment.  Nothing.  Nada. Even though we inventoried the loss and made the claim in the time the ground agent had said we had.

The late bad publicity United has had is WELL DESERVED.  May it go the way of the Moa bird.
